I mean, how gorgeous is this setting? The boats in the background against that golden sunlight. The perfect backdrop for this Ocean City, New Jersey family beach session. Love getting mom and dad alone in some images, in addition to the girls and the whole family. And, with the way mom’s dress was flowing behind her when the wind picked up, I just had to get some romantic images of the two of them. Just because you have kids doesn’t mean you can’t still get some good couples photos!

Another beautiful spot at this Ocean City, New Jersey beach is the jetty. I always use the jetty for family beach photos. It is a gorgeous spot for some more playful opportunities during a session, and also c’mon…look at that beautiful sky against the rocks and water! The jetty is absolutely stunning during a good sunset. I love having the family walk along the jetty for a nice movement photo and just hanging out at the base of the jetty for some up close and personal shots.
I always end my beach sessions in the water, because somebody always gets wet (and it’s usually me)! And, the water against the sand with the reflection always looks so beautiful with the sun setting. The colors of the sky turn cotton candy colors and it’s just pure goodness. I love getting the family walking along the water, enjoying the moment ad then of course some more playful ones in the water, splashing around. Kids always love this part of the session. So, another reason that I save it for last!
